AP (Advanced Placement)

ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) is a designation for courses that are taught in a high school at a college level. At the end of the course, students take a comprehensive AP exam. The cost of the exam is approximately $94. Many colleges will award college credit hours for the course if a student achieves a score of 3, 4 or 5 on the AP exam.

AP Scoring:
5 = extremely well qualified
4 = well qualified
3 = qualified
2 = possibly qualified
1 = no recommendation
